Adios 2017. What a year. We started really bad with Trump taking over, but then the events turned to allow us to be more optimistic about the future.
A dark moment in American history
This blogger really wants to focus on the specific subject of I Like Pinga, but we cannot ignore the most important event of the year. Trump’s victory materializes the reaction of White Christian America and it is bad news for the rest of us. Trump is actually not so special, but just an opportunist that fore saw the reactionary wave and took advantage of it. The ascension of racism, bigotry, and intolerance is not even just American. It is sweeping Europe and Latin America, and it has pre-Trump benchmarks, like the victory of Brexit in England.
Going back to America, we have reasons to be optimistic. White Christian America is aging and dying. Trumpism is probably one of the many terminal spasms we will have to deal with the next decades. It does not represent the majority of American people, its victory was only possible because of the Electoral College. American electoral system is still designed for an Agrarian society, with semi deserted states over represented in the indirect presidential election. When you look at the electoral map, America looks very Red, but most of it is semi inhabited land. Where people actually live in big numbers, America is Blue.
Not only time gives us reasons to be optimistic (most bigots are old and dying). The reaction caused by Trump’s victory seems to be powerful. Women and all minorities now understand that the Racist, Misogynist, Homophobic America is far for being dead and can still win elections. If we let them. The results of the last several local and state polls are reflecting this reaction and a surge in candidacies and wins by women and minorities.
There are good reasons to be optimistic about 2018.
Adios 2017. The escorts market.
This year consolidated Rentmen monopoly in the American market. Unfortunately, Rentmen has not confronted the reactionary wave. They joined other outlets in censoring the ads published by providers. They do not even use the word “escorts”, they do not even publish rates anymore. Shame on them.
Fortunately, a new player came up in the market: rentboy.pro. They have a refreshing policy of calling things by their names, and allowing providers to publish rates and anything they want to, with no censorship. Hopefully, 2018 will be a good year for them.
The year seems also to show significant growth in the offer. More and more young men are joining the army of sex workers. There seem to be a shift in the way gay culture looks at them. Male escorts servicing other men have moved up in the social status pyramid, and now they enjoy a consideration similar to porn stars.

The tendencies started with the universalization of Internet continued to play during the last year. New technologies allow easy and inexpensive production of video, and a direct link between the production and the consumers.
Big traditional studios are shaking and reconverting their business model to be able to compete with the countless number of small outlets flourishing on line. Factories like men.com, Cockyboys, Next Door Studios, Flavaworks, Black Rayne, chocolate drop, etc., have grown in detriment of traditional studios like Falcon or Lucas Entertainment.
The last development is the model brought by onlyfans.com, where porn performers can reach directly their admirers without any brokers.
Consumption of porn is sky rocketing, and so is production. The billions of dollars consumers spend in pornography are share by an overcrowded field of players in the industry. To make it even more challenging, outlets offering porn for free are abundant, and some of them like pornhub.com, extremely successful.

My personal quest for young hot guys who enjoy the company of older folks, has been fun and fruitful. Actually, I think (hope) 2018 will be the year of I Like Pinga, but 2017 was the year we started. At the beginning it was going to be just a blog to share my sluttish experiences, but it has turned into much more than that.
Despite my caveman English traffic is growing consistently. The last addition of 2017, the Pinga News page, is breaking records. On the bad side, I was planning a closing of the year much more hype than this post, but unfortunately got sick and had to cancel the last adventures I had planned sharing with you.
In 2018, I would like to play with video production. Home made, amateur videos, no professional performers. Three performers so far are interested but I have not yet started to shoot the videos.
I wanted to close the year tomorrow in Rockhard DC, but I am not sure I will be able to because of the nasty cold I caught. I had to cancel my date with Kevin, and although I am feeling slightly better, the recovery is much slower than expected.
2017 sent me this cold to remind me what a shitty year it was for American minorities. Being sick puts me in a very bad mood and darkens what it actually was a very productive year. So thank you 2017, but I am ready for 2018.
