Gay Saunas and garotos de programa were the menu for my Fucksgiving Week in Rio. I am afraid I am getting addicted to Brazilians.
Fucksgiving Week in Rio
After last year Friendsgiving Week in Louisville, we were set for something more adventurous in 2019. We fell in love with Rio during our visit last July, and therefore thought that this year we should spend the holidays eating Brazilian turkey.
We had met Italo Andrade, who made a for ever lasting impression, and wanted to see him again. Besides, we also met Jonathan and Luiz. Unfortunately, Jonathan would be in S茫o Paulo, and we could not connect with Luiz.
The original plan was spending a lot of time in the beach. However, a cloudy week conspired against it, we never ventured beyond the kiosks along Avenida Atlantica.
We already published detailed reports of our meetings with Hugo and Wesley. This article is an overview of additional experiences. In the near future, some of these experiences will also receive a detailed review.
The gay saunas
If I am well informed, there are four saunas in Rio for clients and garotos de programa. We visited two of them, Pointe 202 and Clube 117. Although both have strengths and weaknesses, we do have a clear favorite.
On one hand, Clube 117 has better looking and kept facilities. However, we do not like the layout. The bar with the stage, which is the perfect place to become the social hub, is actually just a transit spot. The drag queen shows I have seen are better in 117, considerably better, but they are not why we are there.
Although 117 is located in a safe area, it is relatively far away from Copacabana and Ipanema. Finally, the boys are perhaps more “conventionally” beautiful in average, but they also are more distant and less friendly than in Pointe.
My favorite gay sauna in Rio
On the other hand, Pointe 202 has less fancy facilities. The difference in the cabins is remarkable, 117’s are significantly better. However, I find the layout more convenient for socializing and hooking up. The main bar area is clearly the central hub, I do not need to go anywhere else to check and try the offer.
Although there is a smoking bar in the top level, it is clearly a secondary spot and very little happens up there. Unlike 117, where the main social hub is the smoking patio, you do not need to smell cigarets in Pointe to be in the middle of the hooking up action.
One feature that makes a huge difference in favor of Pointe 202 is the electronic panel for the cabins waiting list. In crowdy evenings, you can wait for your turn cuddling and comfortably making out with your garoto de programa. Not in 117, where you and/or your boy are forced to hang around the counter area waiting to be called.
One important consideration is location. Although 117 is easily reachable through public transportation from Copacabana, you do not even need transportation to go to Pointe. In both of my visits is was a 15′ walk from my Airbnb.
Finally, the boys. We can discuss whether the hottest garotos de programa attend Pointe or 117. In my experience, they go to both depending not he day. But even if the hot boys go to both, the fact remains that every single boy I took to my place, I did it after trying them at Pointe 202.
Sex in the gay saunas
In Rio, like in any other big city around the world, sex is easily available in Internet. For free or for a fee.
Despite all the alarmist news and conversations about lack of security, my personal experience shows otherwise. I did not feel unsafe in the areas of Rio where I have circulated, not more than in any other big metropolitan area.
I have tried sex from Grindr, both for free and for a fee, without any problems. However, if you feel vulnerable, respect your own limits and go for the safe: sex in the gay saunas.
You can go to regular gay saunas, where there is no money exchange, or you can enjoy the combination of saunas and garotos de programa. In both cases you stay in a public, monitored place. There is not a safer option.
Saunas management keep record of the garotos de programa working each evening. They even control who goes into the cabins. In the eventuality of any problem, everything is properly recorded. Of course, there is rarely any problem.
For some friends, the mix of saunas and garotos de programa results in an orgiastic paradise. Not for this blogger. I feel always challenged in social settings. I go to the sauna like you go to the car dealer.
Buying a car is a huge investment. You go to the dealer and first you try several models. You sit in them, you smell them, touch them, you may even take a try ride. Only when you find the right car, you take it home.
The garotos de programa
Out of all the garotos de programa I tried in the saunas, there are three that I want to mention. Two of them qualified to be taken to my place.
The first boy I find worthy to mention is Junior. I met him at Club 117. He is a model for Hotboys, and looks much better in person than in the screen. He was extra kind and sweet, we shared a session of oral as he does not bottom. Although a good kisser and proficient dick sucker, he was watching straight porn during our interaction.
I am aware that many friends love the G4P fantasy. If you are one of them, you will love Junior. But it is not my thing. Junior is one of the cars I tried and liked, but not enough to take home.
The two keepers
I tried in Pointe 202 both of the garotos de programa I would later invite to my place. It was exactly the same in my July visit. I am not sure whether you can find the hottest boys in one or other sauna, but I do know I find the best sex at Pointe.
The first garoto de programa, and my favorite from this trip, was Hugo. His wild beauty and the exotic sensuality that irradiates captivated me at the first sight. You must try this young man if you see him, the power of his kissing is extraordinary.
The second garoto de programa was Wesley. Tall, distant and conventionally beautiful, he surprised me with an unexpected performance in the sauna. Our interaction later at home would not reach those heights, but still he delivered a much enjoyable time. He is a specially good match for a sugar daddy who likes to spoil a cute boy. Wesley likes expensive things.
The orgy that never happened
Besides saunas and garotos de programa, in Brazil you can also mix porn stars and escorts. Back in July I had the pleasure of meeting Italo, and now I wanted to add some more local celebrities to my book.
After struggling with finding a day good for everyone, we were able to coordinate a meeting with Italo, his boyfriend Victor Carvalho, and Yuri Oberon.
