Abricó Beach (Praia do Abricó) is a quite appealing alternative if you are in Rio de Janeiro looking for Nature and Peace. Oh, I forgot, it is also good for Nature and Sex.

A city with many options

If you have been in Rio, you know that the Cidade Maravilhosa has something (and someone)  to offer for everyone. The city is a magnet for for all kind of people looking for fun.

Of course, if you are party oriented, Abricó Beach may not be for you. Perhaps, you may want to stay in the traditional touristic areas, or close to them. Copacabana and Ipanema are always crowded in a sunny day. Crowded and cruisy. Brazilians are very friendly and outgoing, and I would be surprised if anyone does not have fun around them.

It does not matter whether you are straight, or identified by any of the letters in the Queer alphabet. You will have fun. It does not matter your age, your shape, your color, or your passport. If you are open to the experience, if you are able to drop your expectations and relax and connect with the locals, you will not stop coming for more.

Probably some of you think that when I say “fun” I actually mean “sex”. Well, no. I do mean fun, although of course I am also including sex.

If you are not looking for the big crowds, partying, and intense cruising in the traditional beaches, perhaps you would like to look at the offerings to the East and the West of Ipanema and Copacabana.

After only three visits to Rio, I have yet to explore the beaches to the East, towards Buzios. But I did visit, twice, the areas located to the West, towards Grumari. Grumari is a municipal protected natural area, South of the State Park of Pedra Branca, right next to Recreio de Bandeirantes. Abricó Beach is one of the several options you have in this protected area, between Praia do Secreto and Praia Grumari.

How to get to Abricó Beach

As I was staying in Recreio dos Bandeirantes (my choice to enjoy Rio during the pandemic), it took me only 15’ to get there. However, a ride from Copacabana or Ipanema can take about one hour. As there is no public transportation covering this area, you will need a car.

I love using Uber in Brazil, as it is more convenient and cheaper than regular taxi cabs. Getting to Abricó Beach by Uber is easy. However, you may be challenged when trying to connect to the app network for your return.

The first time I visited this paradisiacal beach, I could not connect to the Uber network and ended paying to a driver we met, although there were a couple of taxi cabs offering their services. This year I forgot my wallet and had no money to pay for a cab (you can follow my adventures and misadventures in my favorite discussion board, boytoy.com. I am latbear4blk over there).

Therefore, by the end of our field trip we sat patiently to try to call an Uber. Abricó Beach is in a protected natural area with no much tech infrastructure, and the cellphone signal is very weak and unstable.

We would catch a driver, and the app would give us a 10 minutes wait. We would wait all that time, to finally receive notice of the driver canceling the trip. It happened to us 3 times. Finally, after almost 30’, an Uber driver was nearby, in Praia Grumari, and we were able to get our ride.

Sumarizing, if you are not renting a car you should call Uber to go, and make sure you have cash in your pockets to pay to a taxi cab or an independent driver to ride you back to your base.

Once in Abricó Beach

Reglamento en Praia do Abricó

Abricó beach is a magnet for naturists. If I am not misinformed, it is the only beach in Rio de Janeiro where you can practice nudism. Actually, being fully naked is mandatory on weekends (I have never been there on a Saturday or Sunday), and optional during regular weekdays. What never changes is the naturist spirit.

No engines are allowed, in the sand or in the water. No motor boats, or motor bikes, no cars of course. Music played on speakers is also out of the table. I visited twice, the restaurant and the beach stand were not playing any music. Silence was deafening.

I mean, Nature was very loud. Walking around Abricó Beach is dancing at a symphony of wind and sea, with a few seagulls singing now and then.

If you were looking for partying, indeed you will not like it. However, if you are looking for peace as I was, you will fall in love with the place. The countless combinations of sounds created from te dance between rocks, sand, wind, and the waving ocean is truly musical and relaxing.

Fortunately, you do not need to pack for a picnic in the wilderness. On the access to the beach you will find a good quality restaurant (not a beach kiosk) where you can have a nice meal with a wonderful view from their elevated terrace, comfortably seated.

This year, there also was the traditional beach stand to rent chairs and umbrellas, and buy street food and cold drinks. This service was not available one year ago, so I am not sure of how reliable it is.

At first sight, you may actually be disappointed if you were looking for a full natural experience. The view from the entrance terrace shows a quite family friendly crowd. A fancy restaurant and a well provided beach full of families in chairs and umbrellas may not be what you were expecting.

Be patient. Walk down and to the left, and you will find the natural landscape you were looking for.

The nudist beach

To the left of the entrance to Abricó Beach there are two huge boulders. They work as a natural limit, and at the same time provide privacy to the dwellers on the other side. You may need to walk through the water if the tide is high. Believe me, it is an easy walk, this blogger is not an athlete.

The beach stand is located on the other side, at the beginning of a not too long (less than a mile, I guess) strip of clean sand. The view closer to the boulders, on the area served by the beach stand, may look like just another regular beach full of colorful umbrellas and foldable chairs. If that is your impression, slow down and pay attention.

Soon you will see there are no children, and many gentlemen are walking around not only unclothed, but besides openly showing their full erections. I did not pay much attention to the ladies, but they were also showing their naked beauty.

This is a small zone right next to the boulders. As you walk away from it, you will be walking into more natural environments. There are plenty of smaller boulders and vegetation providing shade, and the dwellers use them to camp far away from the served area.

I saw many beautiful women sun bathing in Abricó Beach. I specially remember a gorgeous one, light skinned, shining in all her chubby magnificence. The waves would reach up to her knees, her big firm tits and butts stopping the breeze.  She was unaware of her majestic beauty, alone, gone in contemplation of the uninterrupted horizon.

However, what you mostly see is men, and this is not because of my bias. The parade towards the end of the beach never stops. You can see many kinds of them, and I did notice a generous number of hot, gym shaped young ones.

Where the beach ends, there is an area covered by rocks and forest. This is where you can eventually hook up and have sex, somebody told me. I am not into outdoors playing, so I leave the exploration to those who are. It would be great if you try it and then report back with your experience.

Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly) photographing and filming are forbidden. In order to do it, you must request a permit.

When I visited Abricó Beach one year ago, a professional photographer was doing a photoshop with naked female models. I remember the day was not as nice as it was this week. Back then, there was no beach stand, no beach service, and much fewer dwellers.

My second field trip was quite different. After several days of cloudy and rainy days, the sun was shining in all its splendor, and people went out to the beach en mass. I did not have a permit to take photos and video, but people was helpful and appreciated my efforts to avoid including them in my frame.

However, it was difficult and I will have to trash several images, as we do not want to violate anyone’s privacy. I will cut faces, but some butts may be exposed.

With extra illustrations of my field trip (and the model), we add new material to our JustForFans since the pandemic started. If you like our blog, we hope you join and support us.

Remember, our JFF is not really a source of good pornography, although you will find some bad porn. By joining in, you will be showing your support to the blog, for just 4.99. Of course, you will have access to exclusive material by joining. However, most times it will not be the kind that would inspire your masturbations, at least you are a pervert.

We hope you choose to join us anyways. Support us, please, even if you are a pervert.

Hasta la próxima pinga, amig@s!
