Alternativa is the photographer and videographer behind most of the latest VoyR production. However, this article is not about his pornography.
JotaPê
Although most of us first met him as Alternaitva, his name is JotaPê. According to the mini-bio on his website, JotaPê started his photographic journey in 2017. As soon as in 2018, he created Alternativa. Part of this brand is a pledge to inclusivity and an experimental mindset.
Our first contact with his work was in 2020 when Rhyheim Shabazz invited us to visit his base in Rio de Janeiro. Those were the old times of The Cooperative, before Shabazz 2.0 and VoyR. Back then, EyeFilmz was the principal videographer, and JotaPê became who would fill the role when he was not available. I remember that on one of the days I visited, JotaPê had a photo shoot with Andy Rodrigues.
Coincidently, a photo of Andy, the one at the heading, inspired me to write this post. JotaPê’s growth has delighted me this last year and it was time to vent some of my admiration. During my last trip to Rio, I wanted to interview him, but our schedules did not click.
I plan to join his OnlyFans and discuss his plans during my next trip to Rio. I am thrilled at the Pornography that may come from JotaPê’s and Rhyhem’s collaboration. However, the beauty of Andy’s picture prompted me to write now, before meeting and learning more about the photographer.
I do not know much about JotaPê and his journey with Alternativa. This article is not really about him but about the ideas and feelings his photography triggers in this blogger.
Alternativa & Nature
JotaPê seems to command nature to build the perfect frame for his models. Not only in the photo that inspired me to write today. On Alternativa’s Instagram and website, there are several illustrative examples.
Besides commanding nature, he can summon the most beautiful adult entertainers in Brazil. You have a sample above with Italo Andrade, Caio Rodrigues, and Farley. JotaPê does not need hot men to lure us, though.
Everything highlights the models, who always remain the magnet for attention. This is one of JotaPê’s significant achievements. Despite the grandiosity of the nature surrounding the models, we never get distracted. Instead, we are led to the object/subject.
Almost magicaly, models turn from object to subject in Alternativa’s universe. When he is creating, JotaPê does not think of the potential viewers or about his brand. When he experiments, his goal is to find ways to document the unique beauty of each of his objects. In the process, they become the subjects who command the visual narrative.
A few times, the experimentation goes in a different direction. The picture above is still beautiful, but the model is not at its core. Unlike what overwhelmingly happens to me with his work, I see the photographer’s idea commanding the essay when I look at this photo. It is an attractive idea, but this example shows an inversion of Alternativa’s compass. We bring this example not to criticize it, but to highlight the contrasting difference with most of JotaPê’s works.
Alternativa in the city
When Alternativa steps out of nature into urban landscapes, the rules do not change. The models are the subject; everything is submitted to their unique beauty. I do not know what happened to you, but when I look at the photo above, I feel like I just opened the window and locked eyes with Bernardo Silva‘s skylike sight.
JotaPê keeps playing with different elements, but not too much, not enough to distract us from the subject. We may fall from the slightly out-of-focus basket, climb through the beautified six-pack, or blink at the shining necklace, but we always end mesmerized by the model’s dark eyes.
We mentioned before Alternativa’s pledge for inclusiveness. Nothing like an urban landscape to display human diversity.
To me, nature is mostly about calm and slow, never ending cycles. In contrast, cities are about craziness, movement, and speedy change. We do not know whether this model is dancing to the urban beat or flying, dragged by the breath of millions.
JotaPê, the storyteller
My favorite works of art trigger my imagination, leaving me full of dreams, fantasies, and questions. Alternativa is exquisite at suggesting. Look at the illustration above. Are they standing? Are they lying in bed? Is he whispering to his lover’s ear?
What is the story behind this picture? Is he the character of a Christian fantasy? Is he a pagan deity? What, or who is he looking at?
This picture immediately transports me to tropical landscapes. There is nothing like a refreshing bath to recover from a long night of sex and prepare for another one. A typical day in my trips to Brazil.
Can you feel the rush to take this improvised picture? Can you hear the quick requests to get into the frame? And what is everyone but Andy looking at?
I wish I could join her dreams. She looks happy beyond any concerns. She may be listening to music. Or perhaps the fresh memories of a recent event keep her floating. Whatever it is, I want to be her.
Alternativa and the adult entertainers
Alternativa’s scope is broader than the adult entertainment industry. However, JotaPê has become one of the most demanded photographers among Brazilian porn creators. His association with Rhyheim Shabazz helped, indeed. Angel Rivera‘s photo above was taken in Spain when JotaPê joined one of Rhyheim’s expeditions to Europe.

Alternativa and videos
In this article, we play with JotaPê’s photographic explorations. He is between the photographers I prefer: those who disappear from the picture and let the models shine. Additionally, his brand, Alternativa, is about creativity and inclusiveness, as visible throughout all his photo essays. How could I not like him?
Furthermore, there is one more word very descriptive of Alternativa’s creative universe: Joy. JotaPê’s work always celebrates human life and nature, with explosive and joyful sensuality. Without entering into the porn dimension, JotaPê’s photos are lustful and enticing. We look forward to his collaboration with VoyR and his growth in the adult entertainment industry.
This blogger does not know yet when he will join Alternativa’s OnlyFans. We plan a trip to Rio in April, and perhaps we will wait for an interview before writing about JotaPê and porn.
