Before 2019, I did not even like Fans Pages. In November 2018 we were predicting their demise and the revival of studios. We were actually right until Rhyheim started his fans page and shook the whole market. We were definitely wrong at giving up on the fans pages’ potential so soon, but we were right about the studios adapting to the new market and improving their delivery.
Probably, we will also write about other favorite porn outlets to follow in 2020, but today we want to highlight our Number One: Cockyboys. We have been intending to do so since we wrote Finding Porn and Porn Art. Now it is time.
Cockyboys
Cockyboys is not a new player in the gay porn field. The studio was founded back in 2007. In 2010 was purchased by the current management. This information is publicly available in Wikipedia.
Although I do not know how accurate and updated that information is, it is public knowledge that Jake Jaxson is Cockyboys’ public face, and probably creative master mind. I found out that he published a book in 2017: Jake Jaxson’s Porn Manifesto!: Liberating Your Sexual Self, Free of Shame and Doubt (A CockyBoys Book). Unfortunately, I could not read it as it is not available right now. I like the title, it seems aligned with some of our own personal beliefs, shared in Pornobrary.
This year, we are planning to turn a lot of our attention to Cockyboys. Why? Basically, for two porn elementary reasons: the hotness and talent of its cast and the quality of its productions.
An outstanding pool of talent
Let’s start for what lures us the most to porn: the performers. The quality of the men casted in Cockyboys’ productions has not parallel in the American market. If we take a look at the whole roll of performers who have worked for them since their beginnings, we practically have every single big name from both, the American and the European markets.
The Exclusive (outdated) guys
To start, let’s pay attention to the names that show as Exclusive in Cockyboys’ website: Troy Acola, Carter Dane, Shane Cook, Cory Kane, Austin Wolf, Gabriel Clark, Ben Masters, Sean Ford, Nico Leon, Mateo Vice, Levi Karter, Wess Russell, Ricky Roman, Calvin Banks, Clark Davis, Alam Wernik, Boomer Banks, Sean Zevran, Cole Claire, Taylor Reign, Damian Grey, Grayson Lange, Josh Moore, Jacen Zhu, Ethan Slade, Allen King, Frankie Valentine, Ashton Summers, Asher Hawk, Luca Beckham, Liam Riley, and more, many more.
I stopped there because the list is just too extensive and it is not updated. Before any model complains because I am featuring as Cockyboys exclusive, let me clarify. These are some of the models that the Cockyboys website shows as Exclusive when I am write this report (February 2nd, 2020).
Even if the list is not updated, it is still representative of Cockyboys’ models caliber. Just having Ashton Summers, Austin Wolf, Alam Wernik, Boomer Banks, and Sean Zevran is quite powerful.

Besides, Cockyboys is presiding over some Gay Porn monsters return: the previously mentioned Ashton Summers plus Brent Everett and François Sagat.

Premium Quality Production and Website
Not only Cockyboys has many of the best performers in nowadays porn market. Besides, Jake Jaxson has the best porn studio camera. Just as EyeFilmz is the guy who most perfectly mastered the fans page genre for my taste, Jake did it for studio produced porn.
He is far away from the stereotypical porn frames zooming on genitalia and penetration. Jake’s frames show the whole picture, with surprisingly long close ups on the performers’ facial expressions. This is one of the reasons I am curious about reading his book. His understanding of porn seems to be aligned with my own.
Just take a look at the scene performed by Austin Wolf and Nico Leon. The camera (besides the stellar performances) manages to make the scripted situation feel real. You actually feel like hiding behind the bushes and the trees to spy on these two gorgeous men fucking. Ambitious Porn

Contemporaneous Porn
Cockyboys is probably the porn studio that is better representing our contemporaneous sex culture. Additionally to adapting to the new challenges presented by Internet (which other studios are also doing very well, like Guys in Sweat Pants), they are mirroring the increasingly diverse sexual culture we are enjoying.
The diversity displayed by Cockyboys’ cast is eloquent. Their models exhibit a wide array of ages, ethnicity, physical built, and styles. The style in their productions is what I baptized as Neo-Vanilla, after Rhyheim Shabazz’ pornography. We will probably devote more writing to unfold what we mean by Neo-Vanilla and contemporaneous porn. For now, let me just share that in my opinion Rhyheim Shabazz in the fans pages field, and Cockyboys in the more traditional porn studios ground, are the best exponents of the contemporaneous trend for a more sex positive, fluid gender and roles, ethnically diverse (as different to interracial), bottoms assertive porn culture.
